Ithongasi Primary School (2012)

The mission of Ithongasi Public Primary School is to create an effective and efficient situation that will be conducive to the learner, being able to learn freely and with interest, which in turn will provide skills as well as expertise.  Ithongasi was established in 1910 by Swedish missionaries Carl and Elizabeth Lundin.  This was the first library installed by the Matthew E. Russell Foundation in 2012.  Ithongasi has over 1200 students with approximately 40 students per class.

“The trainings provided by Matthew E. Russell Foundation are extremely helpful as it provides ways to appropriately use the library for learning. We are so thankful.”
