Stanford Senior Primary School is located in Bizana, South Africa. It has approximately 1100 students with 24 teachers and only 12 classrooms. It was established for learners who struggled to reach schools in their nearby communities due to the distances they had to walk. Mbizana, where the school is located, is a community where its members are known as the poorest of the poor. With the help of our partners we were able to build a fully furnished library with 25 e-readers, 5 computers and printers.
“Because of the library, our learners are improving. They are doing book reviews, spelling bees, reading stories, and even creating their own books.”
